March 25

Arrival in London

Paul arrived in London in the early 80s from Stourbridge to further his dream of hairdressing.
March 25

BBC

Paul started working as a trainer/educator with the BBC and began to teach the make-up artists how to apply salon hairdressing techniques.
March 25

Beauchamp Place

Paul and his now wife Liz Edmonds launched the eponymous brand in 1984 in Beachaump Place, Knightsbridge

Home of Hair

Edmonds became the home of hair to the gentry and celebrities from Annie Lennox, Mike Rutherford, Ringo Star to Anne Robinson to name a few.

Expanding Roots

Paul continued to expand the roots he had established at the BBC and worked on a number of productions such as Chariots of Fire and the House of Elliot.

London Fashion Week

Paul was added to the London Fashion Week roster. The Edmonds team headed shows for John Galliano, Clements Rebiro, Catherine Hamnett and John Richmond, creating some of their iconic runway looks.

Holistic Approach

Paul launched a line of holistic aromatherapy hair care.

Continued Success

Continued success saw the brand expand and in the early 90s Edmonds moved to a larger property on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge.

360-Salon

Paul introduced a 360-salon experience to the market-offering clients facials, skin care and body services

Film Work

Further film and TV roles were added to the Paul Edmonds belt with the Darling Buds of May clients Catherine Zeta Jones, Colin Farrell, Mama Mia with client Julie Walters and Love Actually’s Emma Thompson.

BAFTA

Paul became recognised for his Film and TV contribution and was granted a fully voting BAFTA membership.

2008

Paul rebrands the salon and Paul Edmonds London was established in 2008, a full emporium of Hair, Beauty and Aesthetics, all in an environment that was both luxurious but homely.
